Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Welcomes University of Dundee to Discuss International Collaboration Programs

Yogyakarta, 29 September 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), hosted an official Courtesy Call Meeting with the University of Dundee, Scotland, to explore opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and community engagement. The meeting took place at the Leadership Meeting Room, 7th Floor, APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, from 10 am to 12 pm (Jakarta Time).

The University of Dundee delegation consisted of Prof. Mahmood Ahmed, Dr. Laura Cleghorn, and Suze Farrell. The session was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., and attended by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. apt. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., as well as the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, M.Pharm.

The discussion highlighted initiatives to strengthen international research collaboration, academic capacity building, and opportunities for student and staff exchanges. These efforts are closely aligned with the commitment of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through innovative pharmaceutical research for public health, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing higher education quality and academic mobility, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering global partnerships with leading universities.

Through this visit, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM aims to establish a strategic partnership that benefits not only the academic communities of both UGM and the University of Dundee but also contributes to global society through impactful initiatives in health and education.
