Yogyakarta, July 6, 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed an academic and laboratory visit from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hasanuddin University, led by the Laboratory of Pharmacology and Toxicology in collaboration with the UNHAS Fly Research Group (UFRG). The delegation, consisting of 16 lecturers, students, and laboratory staff members, was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si.
The visit aimed to broaden academic perspectives, facilitate the exchange of experiences in laboratory management, and strengthen networks and institutional collaboration in pharmaceutical sciences. During the visit, representatives from both institutions discussed laboratory facilities, research activities, and opportunities for future academic and research collaborations.
In his welcoming remarks, Prof. Satibi expressed his appreciation for the visit from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hasanuddin University. He emphasized that academic visits serve as an important platform for sharing best practices and fostering collaboration in education, research, and community engagement.
The program continued with an academic discussion followed by visits to several laboratories within the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. Participants had the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the faculty’s laboratory facilities, management systems, and research activities that support the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences.
This academic visit also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting excellence in higher education and knowledge exchange, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through strengthening research capacity and optimizing laboratory infrastructure for pharmaceutical innovation, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering strategic partnerships between the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hasanuddin University to advance education, research, and sustainable academic collaboration.
