Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Students Secure 1st Place at the International RxTournament 2nd Edition 2026

Yogyakarta, June 21, 2026 – A student team from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), has once again achieved international acclaim by winning 1st Place in the RxTournament 2nd Edition 2026 under the Advanced Level category. This prestigious competition was organized by the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) to evaluate the core competencies and professional skills of pharmacy students worldwide.

Representing BEM KMFA UGM Indonesia as Team A10, the UGM delegation comprised Jennifer, Anggit Wignya Adi Prasasti, Iffah Zakiya Yasmin, Kevin Lensrich, and Dzaki Hasan Nasrullah. The team secured the top spot with an impressive final score of 78.72%. Second place was awarded to Team A2 from HMF AP ITB (76.50%), third place to Team A26 from HMF AP ITB (74.90%), fourth place to Team A30 from MyPSA Malaysia (74.10%), and fifth place to Team A8 from BEM FF UI (72.70%).

The RxTournament 2nd Edition 2026 featured five distinct Professional Development sub-competitions: the Clinical Skills Event (CSE), Compounding Event (CE), Industrial Skills Event (ISE), Patient Counselling Event (PCE), and Pharmacy Profession Advocacy Competition (PPAC). Together, these events rigorously tested students’ capabilities across clinical practice, pharmaceutical compounding, industrial dynamics, patient communication, and professional advocacy.

Dzaki Hasan Nasrullah, a member of Team A10, expressed his gratitude and pride regarding the achievement. “We are deeply grateful to represent UGM and Indonesia and secure first place in the RxTournament 2nd Edition 2026. This competition provided invaluable experience, testing not only our pharmaceutical knowledge but also our critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and adaptability in professional environments. This milestone serves as a strong motivation for us to continuously develop our competencies and contribute meaningfully to the pharmaceutical world,” he shared.

This international achievement directly aligns with UGM’s commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The team’s success actively supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by fostering highly competent future healthcare professionals, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by demonstrating excellence in higher education and professional training, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through global networking and collaboration among international pharmacy students.
