Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Receives Visit from PT ERELA to Explore Collaboration in Product Development

Yogyakarta, 6 February 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), received a visit from PT ERELA as part of an initial exploration of potential collaboration in pharmaceutical product development. The meeting was held at the Leadership Meeting Room 707, 7th floor of the Advanced Pharmaceutical Science and Learning Center (APSLC) Building.

The delegation from PT ERELA was formally welcomed by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si. The meeting served as an initial discussion forum for both parties to exchange perspectives on potential research collaboration and product development based on pharmaceutical sciences.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and PT ERELA also signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This agreement represents an important initial step to facilitate more in-depth discussions regarding future plans, collaboration schemes, and the strategic direction of cooperation to be developed in a professional and sustainable manner.

The visit of PT ERELA to the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM is aligned with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-Being through the development of pharmaceutical products that may enhance public health quality, SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure through strengthening research collaboration between academia and industry in science-based product development, and SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals, as reflected in the strategic collaboration initiative and the signing of the non-disclosure agreement as a foundation for sustainable partnerships between academic institutions and the industrial sector.
