Yogyakarta, 27 January 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), organized the Learning Innovation Workshop for Lecturers within the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM as a strategic effort to enhance the quality of learning and lecturers’ competencies in responding to the challenges in the era of digital transformation. The workshop was held on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, from 08:00 to 12:00 WIB, at the APSLC Auditorium, 8th Floor, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.
This workshop was designed as a capacity-building forum for lecturers to implement innovative learning models, assessment methods, and the utilization of technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support adaptive teaching and learning processes that are relevant to the characteristics of Generation Z students. Through this initiative, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM reaffirms its commitment to promoting active, contextual, and outcome-oriented learning aligned with graduate learning outcomes.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks from the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., followed by three main sessions. Session I discussed Innovations in Learning Models and Assessment, delivered by dr. Yoyo Suhoyo, M.Med.Ed., PhD (FKKMK UGM), covering innovative teaching methods, learning material development, assignment models, and assessment of examinations and coursework. Session II addressed The Utilization of AI for Learning Innovation, presented by Harry Freitag Luglio Muhammad, S.Gz., Dietisien, M.Sc from the Directorate of Academic Innovation and Studies UGM. Session III, titled Best Practices in Teaching Pharmacy Students, was delivered by Dr. apt. Adhyatmika, M.Biotech., and Dr. apt. Soni Siswanto, M.Biomed. from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.
The implementation of this workshop is aligned with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the enhancement of learning quality and innovation in higher education, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the integration of technology and AI in academic processes, and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by strengthening pharmacy education that contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services and systems in the future.
The workshop also served as a discussion platform for sharing knowledge and best practices among lecturers, while also strengthening a culture of learning innovation within the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.
