Yogyakarta, June 27, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada organized a staff recreation program for faculty members and administrative staff on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Carrying the tagline One Day, One Story, One Pharmacy Family, the event served as an opportunity to refresh spirits, strengthen collegial relationships, and foster positive energy within the workplace.

The journey began early in the morning with participants gathering at the North Field of the PHCC, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. From there, the group departed together for Bandungan, Semarang Regency, where a series of recreational activities had been arranged. The enthusiasm and sense of camaraderie were evident from the very beginning of the trip, reflecting the family oriented values that are an integral part of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

The first destination was New Celosia Flower Garden. Participants enjoyed the vibrant flower gardens, recreational attractions, and scenic natural surroundings. The visit provided a welcome opportunity to step away from daily routines, engage in informal conversations with colleagues, and capture memorable moments together.

The group then continued to Fort Willem I, one of the historic landmarks in Semarang Regency known for its architectural significance and rich history. Beyond offering an enjoyable travel experience, the visit also allowed participants to gain a deeper appreciation of one of Indonesia historical heritage sites.

The staff recreation program represents one of the Faculty initiatives to support personal development while fostering a healthy, harmonious, and productive work environment. Strengthening relationships beyond the workplace is expected to enhance communication, encourage collaboration across the academic community, and cultivate a stronger sense of belonging among members of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM hopes that the spirit of togetherness fostered throughout the trip will become a source of positive energy in supporting the university mission of education, research, and community engagement. In line with the tagline One Day, One Story, One Pharmacy Family, every shared experience serves as a reminder that strong relationships among colleagues form the foundation of a collaborative, inclusive, and high performing academic community.

This program also supports the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, particularly SDG 3 Good Health and Well Being by promoting staff well being and mental health, SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth by fostering a healthy and productive work environment, and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening collaboration and a sense of community within the institution.
