Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and PT Kalbe Farma Team Up for the 2025 Kalbe Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Award

Yogyakarta, June 10, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is once again partnering with PT Kalbe Farma to host the selection process for the 2025 Kalbe Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Awards (KPMA). This prestigious event identifies top-tier PSPA graduates deserving of recognition. Officially opened by Professor Dr.rer.nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si., the ceremony saw representatives from PT Kalbe Farma and aspiring pharmacist graduates in attendance. This collaboration underscores both parties’ commitment to nurturing pharmacists who are not only academically brilliant but also fully prepared for the challenges of the pharmaceutical industry.

The program kicked off with a seminar at the APSLC 8th Floor Auditorium of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. Following insightful presentations, candidates who successfully passed the initial document screening proceeded to the next stage: a psychological assessment held in Classroom 1, Unit 1 Building. This was followed by interview sessions, also conducted in the APSLC Auditorium.

These psychological assessments and interviews are being carried out in-person across various campuses that have partnered with PT Kalbe Farma. The standout participants from these selection rounds will be crowned the Best Nominees for KPMA 2025. Their recognition will coincide with the pharmacist oath-taking ceremonies at their respective campuses.

The KPMA 2025 initiative significantly contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This program by the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy and PT Kalbe Farma aims to enhance human resource quality in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, aligning perfectly with SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-being. Furthermore, the event champions innovation and workforce readiness within the pharmaceutical industry, thereby supporting SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. Ultimately, by providing a platform for students to hone their skills and gain practical experience, the program directly strengthens SDG 4 on Quality Education.

“The KPMA 2025 event is tangible proof of our dedication to preparing highly competent and competitive pharmacy graduates, ready for both academic and industrial landscapes,” stated Professor Nanang Fakhrudin, Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni at the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. “Through this strategic partnership, we hope to continuously foster exceptional talent who will drive progress in the Indonesian and global pharmaceutical industries.”
