Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and PORTAMASI Provide Free Breakfast for Students During Mid-Semester Exams

Yogyakarta, 5 October 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), is once again providing free breakfast for students during the Mid-Semester Examination period for the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The initiative is supported by PORTAMASI (Paguyuban Orang Tua Mahasiswa), the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Parents Association, as part of its commitment to supporting students’ well-being and needs, particularly during the examination period.

The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM is providing 200 breakfast portions each day from 5 to 16 October 2026. The programme is expected to help students meet their nutritional needs before taking their examinations while supporting them in maintaining their focus and carrying out their academic activities effectively.

The provision of free breakfast also represents a collaborative effort between the faculty and students’ parents to foster an academic environment that prioritises student well-being. Through this initiative, students can access a nutritious breakfast without having to worry about the additional cost of meals during the examination period.

This initiative contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by supporting students’ access to food, SDG 1 (No Poverty) by helping reduce students’ daily living expenses, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by providing equal access to the programme for students, and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting individual well-being and productivity within the academic environment.
