Yogyakarta, 25 November 2025 — A solemn atmosphere filled the Graha Sabha Pramana UGM during the First Graduation Ceremony of the 2025/2026 Academic Year at Universitas Gadjah Mada, on Tuesday, November 25th 2025. On this meaningful occasion, the Faculty of Pharmacy once again demonstrated its contribution to shaping outstanding graduates, with one of its students being selected as the University’s Graduation Representative, an honor awarded to a graduate with exceptional academic achievements and an inspiring track record to speak representing all the graduates.
The role was entrusted to Ismail Ahmad Nabil Abdurrahim, who graduated with a GPA of 3.70 and completed his studies in 3 years, 11 months, and 15 days. Ismail delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on the journey that led the graduates through academic challenges and personal growth to this milestone moment.
In his address, Ismail stated, “Every step, decision, tear, laughter, silence, and noise that has accompanied our journey since we first set foot on this campus carried dreams that were once unrefined. And today, we stand as the best versions of ourselves we have ever become.” He continued, “Courage is not a straight line, but a series of crossroads that test conviction and shape character.”
Ismail also reminded his fellow graduates that earning a degree is not an endpoint but the beginning of new responsibilities. “Knowledge is not merely an intellectual achievement but a moral responsibility. This degree is not a sign that the journey ends, it is an invitation to work more honestly, more sensitively, and more bravely in contributing to society.”
The active involvement of graduates in this ceremony reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through education, research, and continuous competency development.
The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM extends its congratulations to all graduates of the First Graduation Ceremony of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. May this new chapter become the starting point for meaningful contributions to society and the nation.
