Yogyakarta, July 22, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of transparency and good governance of the Employee Corps of Universitas Gadjah Mada (Korpagama) by holding a Financial and Asset Report Meeting of the Korpagama Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The event, intended for all lecturers and education staff, was held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM WIB, at the 3rd Floor Auditorium, Postgraduate Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.
This meeting became an important agenda to openly and comprehensively present the financial condition and assets managed by the Korpagama unit within the Faculty of Pharmacy. The main objective was to provide an accountability report to all members, consisting of lecturers and education staff, as well as to open a discussion space for evaluation and future strategic planning. This initiative is a tangible manifestation of the faculty’s efforts in building a healthy and trustworthy institutional system.
The Dean of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy stated in his speech, “Accountability is the main pillar in building a strong institution. Through routine reporting like this, we not only ensure the financial health of our joint business unit, but also strengthen the sense of ownership and trust from the entire academic community. The welfare of our members is a priority, and that starts with transparent management.”
This activity is in line with the efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By practicing open reporting, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy directly supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by building effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions. In addition, the sound and transparent management of the Korpagama unit also contributes to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting the economic stability and welfare of its members. Ultimately, strong internal governance will create a conducive work environment, which is an essential foundation to support the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education).
This meeting is expected to increase mutual understanding of Korpagama’s condition and strengthen solidarity among lecturers and education staff to jointly advance the business unit and the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy as a whole.
