Yogyakarta, June 19, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) hosted an online “Sharing Session: Postgraduate Program Introduction Talk Show.” The event, streamed live on the Faculty of Pharmacy YouTube channel and held via Zoom, was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Satibi. It featured inspiring speakers from various heads of postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM.
This talk show was more than just an introduction to advanced studies in pharmacy; it also underscored the Faculty’s strong commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through its postgraduate programs, the Faculty of Pharmacy directly contributes to SDG 3, Good Health and Well-being, by training highly competent pharmaceutical researchers and practitioners. These graduates will play a crucial role in developing innovative medicines, improving access to healthcare services, and addressing global health issues, ultimately ensuring everyone has the chance to live a healthy life.
Moreover, the event aligns with SDG 4, Quality Education. By offering excellent and relevant study programs, UGM’s Faculty of Pharmacy aims to enhance the capabilities of human resources in the pharmaceutical sector. This talk show served as a bridge for prospective students, helping them understand higher education opportunities that not only enrich their knowledge and skills but also prepare them to be future leaders and innovators in healthcare. This represents a long-term investment in quality education that will have a positive impact on the wider community.
Finally, this initiative resonates with the spirit of SDG 9, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. The talk show, held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM WIB, truly demonstrated the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s dedication to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also aware of and capable of contributing to sustainable development both nationally and globally.
