Yogyakarta, August 22, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University held a General Lecture for students of the Pharmacy Professional Program (PSPA) August 2025 Cohort on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the APSLC Building. The event took place from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM WIB and featured several speakers from academia and the pharmaceutical industry.
The event was opened by Prof. Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, M.Pharm., Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, who emphasized the importance of proactive attitudes and initiative in the academic process. Next, apt. Anna Wahyuni Widayanti, M.P.H., Ph.D, as the Head of the PSPA Program, provided an explanation regarding ethics and conduct for students within the campus environment as part of efforts to produce professional and integrity-driven pharmacist alumni.
The first session featured apt. Severinus Nugraha Krisma Sandy, S.Farm, a representative from PT Bio Farma, who presented on the prospects of the pharmaceutical industry, career opportunities, and the strategic role of the pharmaceutical field in supporting national health services. Meanwhile, the second session featured Dra. Sri Kusrohmaniah, Ph.D, Psychologist from the Faculty of Psychology UGM, who presented material on student resilience in facing challenges of change, especially in the era of digital transformation and global demands.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Pharmacy at UGM supports the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by preparing professional pharmaceutical personnel to improve the quality of healthcare services, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing education based on ethics, resilience, and competence, and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by broadening perspectives on the prospects of a sustainable and inclusive pharmaceutical industry.
