Faculty of Pharmacy Advances Health Promotion through SENSASI (Exercise, Breakfast, and Social Gathering)

Yogyakarta, May 16, 2025— The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK), and Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) hosted an event called SENSASI (Senam, Sarapan, Silaturahmi). The event took place in the north courtyard of the PHCC building at the Faculty of Pharmacy and brought together academic staff and lecturers from across UGM’s medical clusters, including leaders from the Faculty of Pharmacy, FKG and FK-KMK.

The event started at 7:30 a.m. with a group gymnastics session, followed by health checkups, and concluded with a shared breakfast. SENSASI embodies the Faculty of Pharmacy’s and the medical cluster’s dedication to establishing a Health Promoting University. By combining physical activity, social interaction, and emotional well-being, participants were encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle within the campus community.

This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: good health and well-being. It also supports SDG 17: partnerships for the goals, by fostering cross-faculty collaboration to create a sustainable culture of health. Additionally, it contributes to SDG 11: sustainable cities and communities by shaping a campus environment that enhances quality of life, strengthens social connections, and encourages active participation in building a healthy and inclusive community.

With its collaborative spirit and welcoming atmosphere, SENSASI is expected to become a regular event that promotes a culture of health at UGM while strengthening ties among academic staff across the medical clusters.
