Yogyakarta, October 11, 2025 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with Kalbe Group, organized the Pharmaceutical Leaders Across University (PLAY) 2025 event, themed “Pharmabytes: Navigating the Digital Pharmacy Revolution.” This initiative aims to broaden students’ understanding of the ongoing digital transformation within the pharmaceutical industry and to enhance their readiness to face future challenges in a technology-driven healthcare landscape.
The event, held virtually via Zoom Meeting, featured Rusli Ananta, MSTD, Group Head of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, as the keynote speaker, who shared his insights and strategies for navigating the digital revolution in the pharmaceutical world, and Flora Febriani from the Human Capital Department of Kalbe Group. The discussion was moderated by apt. Halida Rahmania, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., lecturer at the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy, and hosted by Mar’atul Afifah and Klara Kanya Maitreya from PT Hexpharm Jaya Laboratories.
Through this activity, students gained deeper insights into the role of digital technology in pharmaceutical innovation while expanding their professional networks at the national level. Participants also received valuable industry insights, door prizes, and e-certificates as a token of appreciation for their active participation.
PLAY 2025 also aligns with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through improved healthcare quality, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing high-quality, industry-relevant education, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through innovation and the integration of digital technology in pharmacy.
Furthermore, the event supports SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and Kalbe Group, a joint effort to strengthen students’ adaptability to digital advancements and reinforce the synergy between academia and the pharmaceutical industry.
