Jakarta, 19 December 2025 — Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) secured 14 awards at the 2025 Diktisaintek Awards, held at Graha Diktisaintek, Jakarta, on Friday (19/12). As widely recognized, the awards presented by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia serve as a platform to appreciate individuals and institutions in education that contribute to advancing and inspiring the nation.
In an official press release, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Togar Mangihut Simatupang, stated that the 2025 Diktisaintek Awards marked the fifth implementation of the program, which aims to recognize higher education institutions and individuals for their performance in supporting ministerial policies. Overall, 547 awards across 15 subcategories were conferred upon recipients from public and private universities, LLDIKTI, business and industry partners, ministries and government agencies, as well as journalists and media organizations.
At this year’s Diktisaintek Awards, apt. Eka Noviana, Ph.D., a lecturer from the Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM, received the award in the Impactful Lecturer category. Previously, Eka was also once again listed among the World’s Top 2 Percent Scientists 2025, based on a global ranking released by Stanford University in September.
The Impactful Lecturer Award from the Ministry underscores Eka Noviana’s strong commitment to fulfilling the Tridharma of Higher Education, particularly in delivering education, research, and community service that generate direct societal impact. Furthermore, this achievement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, through strengthening health capacity, enhancing the quality of pharmaceutical education, and advancing science-based innovation.
