Pharmacy UGM – Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a Cosmetic Laboratory Instrument Training session on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Cosmetic Laboratory, Unit 3, Third Floor, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. This event is part of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy’s ongoing efforts to enhance the capacity of laboratory personnel and strengthen research facilities in the field of cosmetics.
The training was led by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., Apt., along with several laboratory technicians and related staff. The focus of the session was on the introduction and operation of the latest equipment available in the UGM Cosmetic Testing Laboratory, including the Visio Scan VC 20 plus, Visio Face 1000 D, and Cutometer Dual MPA 580.
The Cosmetic Testing Laboratory is the newest facility within the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy and is expected to become a center for research and innovation in cosmetics. In addition to enhancing the technical skills of laboratory staff, the training aims to support sustainable collaborative research with industry and academic partners in the future.
This event demonstrates the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s concrete steps in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the development of human resources competence and the strengthening of research and innovation infrastructure.
