The activity was held under the theme “Health Promotion on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) for the Prevention of Scabies and Digestive Disorders at Islamic Boarding Schools” and was targeted at students of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level at Miftahunnajah.

The program was led by Fathul Muin, M.Pharm., Apt., as the supervising lecturer, supported by a community service team consisting of Prof. Dr. apt. The educational session was delivered interactively through presentations, discussions, and practical demonstrations of clean and healthy living practices.

A representative of Miftahunnajah Islamic Boarding School, Ustadz Fikri, warmly welcomed this initiative and expressed appreciation to the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM for their concern for the health of the students. “This activity is highly beneficial as it increases the students’ awareness and encourages them to care more about personal and environmental hygiene as well as their daily health practices,” he remarked.

As a tangible contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this program supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting health awareness among students, SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) by emphasizing the importance of sanitation and clean living behavior, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and Miftahunnajah Islamic Boarding School. This community service initiative not only improves the health quality of the students but also contributes to advancing the global sustainable development agenda.

By implementing the knowledge gained from this activity, it is expected that the students will be able to adopt clean and healthy living habits in their daily lives, thereby improving their overall quality of life.
