Pharmacy UGM – On Friday (24/1), the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), took part in the Career Week 2025 event organized by the Career Planning Department of Kesatuan Bangsa School, Yogyakarta. This annual event aims to provide students with insights into various career options and the educational pathways required to achieve their career goals. With the theme “Navigating Your Future Path,” Career Week 2025 is designed to inspire students to be more prepared for future challenges.
One of the main agendas of Career Week 2025 was EduFair, which took place on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM WIB at the Sport Center of Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. During this event, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM set up an EduFair booth, offering comprehensive information about its study programs, including the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), which is designed to support students in achieving international standards in pharmacy education. Through interactive sessions, participating students gained valuable insights into the academic pathways, curriculum, career prospects, and the pharmacy sector’s contribution to improving public health.
The enthusiasm for the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM booth was remarkably high, as many students eagerly inquired about the academic programs, career opportunities, and further education prospects available both nationally and internationally. This strong interest reflects prospective students’ eagerness to better understand the role of pharmacists in the future and how they can start preparing early for a career in the field.
UGM Pharmacy’s participation in Career Week 2025 aligns with efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by providing students with comprehensive access to educational information. Additionally, this initiative also contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, as pharmaceutical education plays a crucial role in enhancing healthcare services and overall community well-being. By continuously educating the younger generation about the pharmaceutical field, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM contributes to shaping future professionals ready to tackle global challenges in healthcare.
