Yogyakarta, 7 October 2026– The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), has achieved a notable national-level accomplishment by recording the highest average score in the National Pharmacy Competency Examination (UKOMNAS) through the Computer-Based Test (CBT). UGM Faculty of Pharmacy ranked first nationally with an average score of 81.83 among 106 participating institutions.

The achievement highlights the strong performance of UGM Faculty of Pharmacy students in the national competency examination and serves as an indicator of the quality of education and the readiness of future pharmacists to meet nationally established competency standards.
With an average score of 81.83, UGM Faculty of Pharmacy recorded the highest performance among all 106 participating institutions. This achievement reflects the Faculty’s continued efforts to maintain the quality of its pharmacy professional education and prepare competent graduates who are equipped to contribute across various areas of the pharmaceutical sector.
The UKOMNAS CBT achievement also reflects the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders within the Faculty, including lecturers, students, academic and administrative staff, as well as the learning systems implemented at the Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM. This accomplishment is expected to serve as both a milestone to build upon and a motivation to continuously improve the quality of pharmacy professional education.

Through this achievement, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy continues to strengthen its commitment to producing graduates with strong competencies and professionalism in the pharmaceutical field. The accomplishment also encourages the Faculty to continuously develop adaptive learning processes that respond to the evolving needs of the profession and advances in pharmaceutical sciences.
This achievement also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through efforts to strengthen the quality of education and the competencies of future pharmacists, as well as SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by preparing competent pharmaceutical professionals who can contribute to improving the quality of healthcare services.
