Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Welcomes Educational Visit from SMA Negeri 4 Malang Students

Yogyakarta, May 6, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed an educational visit from SMA Negeri 4 Malang as part of an initiative to introduce students to higher education, particularly in the field of pharmacy, and the entrance selection path at Universitas Gadjah Mada’s bachelor’s program. The event took place at the Auditorium APSLC 8th floor, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM in a warm and interactive atmosphere.

The program began with an opening remark from the Head of the Administrative Office of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, delivered by Mr. Andrian Dion Priadi, S.Kom. In his speech, he expressed appreciation for the visit and conveyed his hope that the activity would provide valuable insights and inspiration for the students.

The next address was delivered by the Principal of SMA Negeri 4 Malang, Dr. Hari Wahyono, S.Pd., M.Pd. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given by the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and hoped that the students would gain a clearer understanding of university life and career prospects in the field of pharmacy.

The event continued with a presentation by apt. Puguh Indrasetiawan, M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. During this session, participants received detailed information about study programs, the entrance selection path for bachelor’s degrees, academic activities, and career development opportunities in pharmacy.

Participants showed great enthusiasm during the interactive question-and-answer session. Various questions from students were addressed comprehensively by Mr. Puguh Indrasetiawan and Mrs. Ningsririsdiyati, Head of the Academic Section, who provided further explanation regarding the academic system, admission process, and student life at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

This activity not only served as an academic information session but also contributed to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on quality education by providing access to higher education information, SDG 10 on reduced inequalities by broadening students’ perspectives from various regions regarding educational opportunities, and SDG 17 on partnerships for the goals through collaboration between secondary and higher education institutions in fostering a competitive and high-quality generation.
