Yogyakarta, May 5, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed a visit from SMA N 1 Ayah students on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The group of 94 students and their accompanying teachers were received at the campus complex located in Sekip Utara, Yogyakarta. This visit was conducted to provide students with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the higher education environment, undergraduate student entrance selection pathway, and experience the academic atmosphere at one of Indonesia’s leading pharmacy faculties.
This activity is part of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). By hosting visits from various secondary educational institutions, the faculty aims to strengthen inter-institutional synergy and broaden the younger generation’s perspective on science and health. Furthermore, this initiative aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by disseminating the vital role of health education institutions to the general public.
During the session, Fathul Muin, M.Pharm., Apt., served as the speaker to welcome and provide a profile of the faculty and undergraduate student entrance selection pathway to the participants. He expressed his appreciation for the visit from SMA N 1 Ayah and hoped that this brief campus experience would leave a positive impression and motivate the students in their studies. The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM consistently opens its doors for collaboration and school visits as a form of community service and a contribution to the advancement of education in Indonesia.
