Yogyakarta, April 2, 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, celebrated an academic milestone with the official inauguration of Prof. Dr. apt. Dwi Endarti, M.Sc. as a Professor in the field of Pharmacoeconomics. The distinguished ceremony was held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Balai Senat of Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta. During her inaugural lecture entitled “The Role of Pharmacoeconomic Modeling in Guaranteeing Innovative Drugs for the National Health Insurance Program,” Prof. Dwi Endarti presented strategic insights into the critical importance of utilizing pharmacoeconomic modeling instruments in Indonesia’s healthcare policy-making. She emphasized that such models are vital to ensuring that innovative medicines remain accessible to the public through the National Health Insurance (JKN) scheme in a sustainable manner, while maintaining cost-efficiency and optimal clinical value.
This academic achievement is a concrete manifestation of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s contribution to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 regarding Good Health and Well-being. Through her expertise, Prof. Dwi Endarti advocates for the strengthening of universal access to affordable essential and innovative medicines for all levels of society. Furthermore, this inauguration supports SDG 4 concerning Quality Education by enhancing the academic expertise within the university, which directly impacts the quality of research and learning. In line with the Green Campus commitment, the organizing committee encouraged guests and colleagues to use rented flower boards to reduce waste on campus, reflecting the implementation of responsible consumption and production principles as outlined in SDG 12.
The inauguration ceremony commenced at 09.00 WIB and was attended by the Board of Professors of the University, the professors of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, academic colleagues, and guests. The entire academic community of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM congratulates Prof. Dwi Endarti on this extraordinary accomplishment, which is expected to further strengthen the faculty’s role in contributing to the national health system and the welfare of the broader community.
