Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada Ranked 1st in Indonesia for Pharmacy by EduRank

Yogyakarta, 30 March 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada has once again achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the 1st position in Indonesia, ranking 500th in Asia and 1,259th globally in the field of Pharmacy according to the latest 2026 EduRank rankings. This achievement is based on research performance measured through scientific publications and academic citations, where thousands of publications and tens of thousands of citations from various institutions were analyzed to determine the best rankings in the field of pharmacy. Meanwhile in the university level, Universitas Gadjah Mada has also demonstrated outstanding performance at the global level, ranking 539th worldwide, 82nd in Asia, and 2nd in Indonesia.

This accomplishment reaffirms the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to maintaining excellence in education, research, and community service with global competitiveness. This success reflects the Faculty’s consistency in producing high-quality research and making meaningful contributions to the development of pharmaceutical sciences both nationally and internationally. Supported by strong academic resources and extensive research collaborations, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM continues to strengthen its position as a leading institution for pharmaceutical education in Indonesia.

This achievement also demonstrates the Faculty’s commitment to supporting sustainable development through the tridharma of higher education. These contributions align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through innovations in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by delivering high-quality education, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through strengthening research and innovative collaborations.
