Yogyakarta, 10 February 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed a visit from SMA Islam Sabilurrosyad Malang on Tuesday (10/2) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The activity was held at the 8th-floor Auditorium of the APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, as part of an educational visit aimed at introducing senior high school students to higher education, entrance selection information, and the field of pharmacy.
The delegation from SMA Islam Sabilurrosyad was officially received by Andrian Dion Priadi, S.Kom., Head of the Administrative Office of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. In his welcoming remarks, he expressed appreciation for the visit and hoped that the activity would provide students with an initial overview of academic life at university, particularly within the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The visit continued with a presentation on admission pathways to Universitas Gadjah Mada and the academic strengths of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, delivered by Fathul Muin, M.Pharm., Apt., a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy. During this session, students were introduced to various UGM admission schemes, the learning environment at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the academic as well as professional opportunities available to pharmacy graduates.
Students showed strong enthusiasm during the interactive question-and-answer session. Ningsririsdiyati, Coordinator of Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, actively responded to students’ questions, which covered topics ranging from academic preparation and learning processes to future career prospects in pharmacy. This session reflected the students’ keen interest in science and health-related fields and highlighted the importance of accessible and informative outreach on higher education.
Through this visit, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education by promoting access to higher education information, SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-Being through the introduction of the strategic role of pharmacy in healthcare systems, and SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure by encouraging students’ interest in science, innovation, and pharmaceutical development.
