Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Conducts Monitoring and Evaluation of Fire Protection Facilities Together with K5L UGM

Yogyakarta, December 11, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation of Fire Protection Facilities in collaboration with the UGM Office of Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment (K5L). This activity was held to ensure that the fire protection system at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM is ready and compliant with applicable safety standards and regulations.

Monitoring and evaluation activities include inspecting fire protection facilities and infrastructure, such as fire extinguishers, evacuation routes, alarm systems, and safety signs. In addition, discussions and mapping of potential fire risks are carried out, along with recommendations for improvements that need to be followed up in order to increase the preparedness of the academic community in dealing with emergency situations. The synergy between the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and K5L UGM is expected to strengthen occupational safety and health on campus.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM affirms its commitment to creating a safe, comfortable, and sustainable work and learning environment. This effort is in line with its support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through the protection of the safety of the academic community, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) in realizing safe and resilient public facilities, and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through systematic and sustainable facility and risk management.
