UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Strengthens Human Resource Governance Through the 2025 Workload Analysis Socialization

Yogyakarta, October 31, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held a “Socialization and Joint Completion of the 2025 UGM Workload Analysis (ABK)” today at the CBT Center, APSLC, 7th Floor. This event marks a strategic step by the faculty to ensure the efficient, effective, and goal-aligned allocation of human resources (HR) in line with the university’s strategic objectives.

The Workload Analysis (ABK) is a systematic management technique designed to determine the ideal number and type of personnel needed to complete tasks effectively and efficiently. During the session, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of ABK’s strategic function as the foundation for various HR management elements, from workforce planning and data-driven position mapping to future HR cost simulations.

Starting at 9:00 AM (WIB), the session focused not only on theoretical aspects but also on hands-on practice using UGM’s digital ABK system. Participants were guided in identifying and prioritizing tasks within three categories: Main and Functional Tasks, Cross-Functional Tasks, and Other Tasks. This process is essential to accurately map work volume, time norms, and output units.

The implementation of ABK strengthens internal governance and aligns with UGM’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By ensuring the proper allocation of human resources, the Faculty of Pharmacy directly contributes to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by creating a productive and equitable work environment that prevents excessive workloads. It also supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by reinforcing effective and efficient faculty management, a key foundation for excellence in the university’s tridharma (education, research, and community service). Furthermore, the use of digital systems in ABK implementation reflects support for SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and promotes a resilient, modern, and adaptive institution.

“With accurate ABK data, we can make strategic decisions regarding recruitment, career development, and precise resource allocation, ensuring that every individual contributes optimally,” stated the organizing committee.

This socialization marks the “Data Collection” phase in the 2025 UGM Workload Analysis timeline, which will be followed by unit head verification and data analysis by the Directorate of Human Resources. The final outcome of this process is expected to serve as the basis for the Rector’s Decree on UGM’s Human Resource Planning (MPP) in December 2025.
