Yogyakarta, September 14, 2025 – Another proud achievement was made by students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), at the Public Health Competition 2025, organized by the Student Association of Public Health (HIMA IKM), Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Andalas. This national-level competition serves as a platform for students from across Indonesia to express their ideas and innovations in addressing current and sustainable public health issues.
In the Essay Competition category, a team from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Trisna Pramudea Puryatna, Aulia Putri Fatima Zahra, and Daniswara Nur Ramadhani, successfully won Second Place with their essay titled “HARMONI: Digitalization of Adolescent Reproductive Health Education and Counseling Media through an Anonymous, Disability-Friendly Mobile App to Tackle Sexually Transmitted Infections in Indonesia.” The work stood out for its strong scientific foundation and innovative use of inclusive digital technology to address the issue of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among adolescents.
This accomplishment aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through efforts to improve public health and prevent communicable diseases, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusive and accessible health education for all, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) through the creation of a disability-friendly digital solution that reaches vulnerable populations.
This achievement demonstrates that UGM students are not only academically excellent but also socially conscious and innovative thinkers. Through this scientific work, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the advancement of public health in Indonesia by integrating science, technology, and humanity.
