UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Lecturer Wins Best Poster Presentation Award at International Conference

Kuala Lumpur, 21 September 2025 – A proud achievement has been made by the academic community of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Prof. Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, M.Pharm., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, received the Best Poster Presentation award in the Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy category at the prestigious 6th International Pharmaceutical Research Conference (iPRC) 2025, held on 20–21 September 2025, in Malaysia.

This international conference, themed “Innovating for a Sustainable Future: New Paradigms in Pharmaceutical Sciences”, brought together researchers, academics, and pharmacy practitioners from around the world. The award achieved by Prof. Nanang highlights the quality of research in hospital and clinical pharmacy conducted at UGM, while also strengthening the university’s reputation on the global stage. Prof. Nanang presented a poster entitled Effect of Implementing the “Education and Self-Monitoring Book” on MTM Pharmacy Services: Impact on Knowledge, Adherance, Drug-Related Problems, and Glycemic Control in Diabetic Patients.

The achievement is also closely aligned with the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through innovative research to improve healthcare services, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by reinforcing the role of academics in generating new knowledge for students, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by expanding international collaboration networks in pharmaceutical sciences.

With this recognition, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM reaffirms its commitment to producing impactful research that contributes not only to scientific development but also to improving the quality of global healthcare.
