Enhancing Tax Awareness and Compliance: Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Hosts Tax Reporting Technical Guidance for Academic Staff

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), organized the 2024 Tax Reporting Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for lecturers and administrative staff on Thursday, February 13, 2025. The event took place at the CBT Centre, 7th Floor, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, and was conducted in two sessions: the first from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM and the second from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. apt. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., who emphasized the importance of understanding tax regulations within the academic community. “Through this program, we hope that both lecturers and administrative staff can fully grasp the proper procedures for accurate and timely tax reporting. Compliance with tax obligations not only reflects individual responsibility but also upholds the integrity of the institution,” she remarked.

The session continued with a presentation by Lucky Bani Wibowo, S.E., from the UGM Directorate of Finance, who outlined the latest tax regulations and detailed the technical aspects of annual tax reporting. His insights provided a comprehensive overview of tax obligations and practical steps for regulatory-compliant reporting.

To strengthen participants’ understanding, the event featured hands-on simulation sessions, guiding attendees through the process of completing tax reports with direct assistance from facilitators. These simulations enabled participants to practice tax reporting procedures in depth. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, offering participants the opportunity to discuss challenges and seek solutions to any issues encountered during tax reporting.

This Tax Reporting Technical Guidance aims to equip the academic community of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM with the knowledge and skills necessary for accurate and timely tax compliance, ultimately reducing the risk of errors in tax reporting.

This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which promotes transparency and accountability in institutional governance. (Rita/HumasFA)
