
Pharmacy UGM – The Indonesian Journal of Pharmacy (IJP), published by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, has awarded the most cited and most downloaded articles as a form of appreciation. Indexed by Scopus and Web of Sciences, IJP has published 35 volumes to date, welcoming original research and review articles in pharmacy, pharmacology, toxicology, clinical pharmacy, and community pharmacy.
This year, IJP recognizes outstanding contributions by awarding articles with the most citations (2000–2024) and the most read manuscript.
The most cited article is “Phytochemical Profile and Antioxidant Activity Of Guazuma ulmifolia Leaves Extracts Using Different Solvent Extraction” published in 2020 (Indonesian Journal of Pharmacy, 31(3), 171-180, https://doi.org/10.22146/ijp.598) by Rafi, M., Meitary, N., Anggraini Septaningsih, D., & Bintang, M. This article has been cited 28 times in Scopus-indexed journals, significantly contributing to IJP’s citation rate.
The most downloaded article is “Development of New Isolation and Quantification Method of Piperine from White Pepper Seeds (Piper Nigrum L) Using A Validated HPLC” published in 2021 (Indonesian Journal of Pharmacy, 32(2), 158-165, https://doi.org/10.22146/ijp.866) by Kusumorini, N., Nugroho, A. K., Pramono, S., & Martien, R. It has been downloaded 2505 times and cited 13 times since its publication.
Marlyn Laksitorini, Ph.D., Editor in Chief of IJP, emphasized that this recognition aims to encourage authors to submit their most impactful research to IJP. In addition to a certificate of accomplishment, IJP offers a 50% discount on the article processing charge (APC) for the awarded authors.
IJP also acknowledges the dedication of its reviewers who play a vital role in maintaining the journal’s quality. Certificates of appreciation and a 25% APC discount were awarded to Prof. Dr. Ika Puspita Sari, M.Si., Dr. Purwanto, M.Sc., and Dr. Sekar Ayu Pawestri, M.Sc., who have reviewed 54, 22, and 17 manuscripts, respectively, between 2000–2024. External reviewers also received recognition: Dr. Floretinus Dika Octa Rismawan, M.Sc., Dr. Bantari Wisynu Kusuma Wardani, and Prof. Dr. Enade Perdana Istyastono, M.Sc., who reviewed 24, 17, and 17 manuscripts, respectively.
With over 400 active reviewers, IJP remains committed to publishing high-quality research that advances the field of pharmacy.
This initiative aligns with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), by promoting high-quality research and fostering academic collaboration.
