The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has successfully completed the international accreditation process by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, the Natural Sciences, and Mathematics) for five study programs. The assessment, conducted on January 15-16, 2025, encompassed the Undergraduate Pharmacy Program, Professional Pharmacist Program, Master’s Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Management, as well as the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Yogyakarta, January 10, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has officially conducted the handover ceremony for the construction of the Asy-Syifa Mosque, located within the Faculty’s campus. The ceremony was marked by the signing of the Handover Agreement (BAST) between the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., and the Director of PT Anggono Group (KSO), Ir. Hesthi Anggono, as the construction executor.
The construction of the Asy-Syifa Mosque represents the Faculty’s commitment to providing a representative worship facility for the academic community while fostering spirituality on campus. This project commenced following the Cooperation Agreement No. 1.26.01/UN1/FA/UP/KS/2024, signed on January 26, 2024, and was completed on schedule with an extended deadline of December 31, 2024.
Yogyakarta, January 9, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) officially inaugurated Prof. Dr. apt. Chairun Wiedyaningsih, M.Kes., M.App.Sc. as a Professor in the field of Pharmaceutical Policy. The inauguration ceremony took place at the UGM Senate Hall, attended by distinguished academics, professors, family members, and colleagues of Prof. Chairun. This milestone marks a significant achievement in advancing pharmaceutical education and research in Indonesia.
In her inaugural address, titled “The Strategic Role of Pharmacists in Strengthening Policies for the Safety of Drug Distribution and Use in Society,” Prof. Chairun delivered an insightful discussion on the critical importance of reinforcing policies governing drug distribution and use in Indonesia. She emphasized that such measures are essential to creating a healthcare system that is safe, effective, and equitable.
Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has reaffirmed its strong commitment to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by partnering with Wahana Mandiri Indonesia (WMI) Cooperative. Through a community service program, this collaboration aims to transform MSMEs using strategic re-branding approaches, focusing on the flagship product “RG (Rampa Grow) Herbal Tea.” This initiative is designed to enhance MSME competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic market, particularly in the digital era that demands creativity and innovation.
Pharmacy UGM – In celebration of its 78th anniversary, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully organized The 6th APN Annual Workshop and Symposium 2024 in collaboration with the Asian Pharmacometrics Network (APN). This event, held from November 20-22, 2024, featured various speakers from diverse backgrounds, including researchers, lecturers, practitioners, and students from across Asia.
With the theme “Pharmacometrics in the Optimization of Drug Development and Clinical Therapy,” this event aimed to optimize drug development and clinical therapy. During the event, workshops, scientific presentations, and panel discussions were conducted, featuring keynote speakers from prominent experts in the field.
Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), conducted an Institutional and Academic Visitation to Timor Leste from November 17 to 20, 2024. The delegation, led by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Satibi, M.Si., Apt., included the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, S.Si., M.Pharm., the Vice Dean for Research, Dr. Rer. nat. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si., Apt., and the Head of the Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. apt. Adhyatmika, M.Biotech. The delegation visited several institutions, such as Universidade Catolico Timorense (UCT), Universidade Nacional Timor Leste (UNTL), Instituto Nacional Farmasia i Produtu Medico (INFPM), and others.
Pharmacy UGM – On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed representatives from The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, for an academic visit and collaborative discussion to explore partnership opportunities. Held at the RSP, APSLC building Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, this event was attended by the Dean and leadership team of UGM Pharmacy, while UQ was represented by Ms. Donna Guest, International Development Manager of the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences.
Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed an honorary visit from the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Malaya, Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Hasniza Binti Zaman Huri, on Monday (4/11). This meeting was held in the Dean’s Meeting Room, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, on the 4th floor, and attended by the Dean and the leadership team of UGM’s Faculty of Pharmacy. The visit is part of efforts to strengthen academic collaboration between the two institutions to support the enhancement of educational and research quality in the field of pharmacy.
Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has taken a significant step towards enhancing its academic standards by conducting a benchmarking visit to the National University of Singapore (NUS). Representing UGM were Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. rer.nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni Affairs. The UGM delegation was warmly welcomed by their counterparts at NUS’s Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, led by Prof. Giorgia Pastorin, Head of the Department, and Assoc Prof. Gigi Chiu, Assistant Head (Education – Postgraduate Matters).
Farmasi UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully hosted a workshop for high school (SMA) and madrasah aliyah (MA) teachers from the Yogyakarta region (08/10). Held at the Advanced Pharmaceutical Sciences Learning Center (APSLC), the event was part of a community service grant in collaboration with the local Association of Chemistry and Biology Subject Teachers (MGMP). A total of 71 participants, including 45 biology and 26 chemistry teachers, attended the session.
