Yogyakarta, 18 November 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), strengthened its global research network through participation in the Match-Making Session held as part of the UGM–University of Groningen (UG) Hub program. This activity facilitated meetings between UGM academics and researchers with a delegation from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, to explore potential research collaborations and academic development initiatives.
In addition, the event also featured the UGM–University of Groningen (UG) Hub Mini Symposium to bridge cutting-edge research collaboration, teaching partnerships, and opportunities for advanced studies, particularly PhD programs for UGM lecturers, researchers, and students. Held on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, in Room U.2.5.A–B at the Tahir Building, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FKKMK) UGM, the collaboration session was designed to connect faculty members, researchers, and students interested in research partnerships, academic exchange, and further study opportunities, including prospective PhD candidates. The program also served to strengthen research capacity, especially in the fields of health and pharmacy.
The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM delegation consisted of six lecturers with strong relevance to pharmaceutical and health sciences, including apt. Farida Nur Aziza, MGMP., apt. Fathul Muin, M.Pharm., Dr. apt. Niken Nur Widyakusuma, S.Farm., M.Sc., apt. M Rifqi Rokhman, M.Sc., Ph.D., apt. Arif Nur Ikhsan, M.Pharm.Sci., and apt. Maya Ramadhani Indarto, M.Clin.Pharm.
The partnerships established through this initiative are expected to generate reputable scientific publications, interdisciplinary research projects, and quality exchanges of academic staff and students. This activity also aligns with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Faculty’s active role in this scientific forum directly contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education through enhanced academic capacity and research mobility; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure by stimulating interdisciplinary research initiatives; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening strategic alliances between Indonesia and the Netherlands in pharmaceutical sciences.
